Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies
Captain Dave reports another good day of porgy fishing aboard the Viking Star. It was really good on the first drop we had this morning, then we had a bunch of blues come in and it was a slow steady pick of nice sized porgies for the rest of the day. We had some striped bass and also some nice sea bass (all released unharmed). Today’s pool winner was Cafo Botjevic of Staten Island with a nice 3.5lb porgy.
