Montauk Jumbo Porgies
Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Star today. The morning started off well around the lighthouse with lots of large sized fish. As the tide turned too fast we anchored up at the beach and picked away there until about 10.30. After that it was as if the switch turned off for keepers. We only caught a handful of porgies in the last two hours or so but plenty of Sea bass were coming over the rails. All were released unharmed. The pool winner was Chang from Flushing, Queens NY with a 3.1lb Porgy.
