Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies
Captain Dave reports a great day of fishing today aboard the Viking Star. Fishing started off like a house on fire with lots of beautiful big fish. We anchored up and stayed in the same zone south of the lighthouse for a couple of hours. We picked through most of the bigger fish here until we were getting mostly medium sized scup. Then we drifted east of the lighthouse and found some more nice sized fish as well as plenty of big Sea Bass which were all returned unharmed. We also caught a keeper Striper and some Fluke. The pool winner was Cornell Armstrong from NJ with a nice 3lb Porgy.
