Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. Conditions were tough early on in the morning but fishing was still ok. We got enough porgies that we were ready to move and start looking for sea bass. We went off shore and we got a nice mix of porgies and sea bass. On the slack tide we started getting lots of mackerel and everyone on the boat caught some mackerel. The pool was won by Gerry Tengo from Jersey City with a 2.1lb porgy and second place was won by Luis Pereira with a 5.1lb sea bass.
