Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship, the best fishing has been in a few weeks! We spent the morning anchored up right by the lighthouse catching all large and jumbo porgies. We got plenty of porgies here so when the tide ran we went looking for sea bass. There were lots of big sea bass too with some mixed size porgies and lots of mackerel. We finished the day out drifting back by the lighthouse picking away at more scup. The pool winner was Derrick Buchanan from Teaneck NJ with 3.5lb porgy.
