Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We started out porgy fishing and there were tons of porgies coming over the rail. Then we went a bit offshore looking for some sea bass. We found some really nice quality sea bass in the mix of a lot of porgies and a few dogfish around, but in the end everyone had close to their limit of sea bass. We also had about a dozen codfish. Today’s first place pool winner was Ifa Gordon of the Bronx with a 3.4lb porgy and in second place was Billy Manraj of Queens with a 15.2lb cod.
