Nantucket Wreck Trip – Viking Star

Capt Steven Jr reports that we put a good trip together fishing the wrecks Saturday on the Viking Star. We had a steady pick through the day with market sized cod and a bunch of shorts, along with big Cunners mixed in keeping the rods bent. On our last drop of the day we had a little shot of 25-30 Pollock that added to the catch. Most guys averaged 5-7 cod a man and the high hook guys were around 10. The first place Cod pool winner was Marek Lisowiez from Patchogue, NY with a 26.1 lber. The second place Cod pool winner was Walter Lesniewski from Lindenhurst, NY with a 22.1 lber. The edible pool winner was Sang Yoon from Bayside, NY with a 19.1 lb Pollock.

With the good fishing we saw offshore and the very slow fishing on the local grounds, we will be adding some more offshore wreck trips. Keep an eye on our website and facebook, we will have some trips posted in the next few days.
