Montauk Jumbo Porgies-Viking Stariper
Capt Dave reports pretty good fishing today on the Viking Stariper. It was a slow start close by so we went looking around further and found excellent fishing. We had a little shot of bluefish that slowed down the bite for about a half hour. After we brought in some blues the Porgy bite came back on and it was just fine! We had a mixed size of fish from jumbos to just keepers. We also had some really good sized sea bass that were released unharmed. The pool winner was Machel Rosedom with a 3 lb Porgy. We are sailing daily. We will be using the Viking Star this weekend, so there is plenty of room. Come on down the office opens at 3am for ticket sales.
