Back to Viking Fleet Fishing Reports

Sat July 29

Striped Bass
Capt Carl was at the helm of the Viking Starship tonight and reports a very disappointing struggle on the grounds. We marked plenty of fish all night long, but they seemed to be in lockjaw mode. We only landed 2 keepers for the whole boat. It was extremely frustrating reading them on the machine all night long and they just didn’t want to bite. Sometimes the night after a Full Moon this happens, and unfortunately tonight it was the case. We expect things to pick back up with the amount of fish around by our next trip on Wednesday night. Mike Deyak from Rocky Point, NY took the pool with a 31 pounder, and Madison Kolnsberg from Queens, NY took second with a 12 pounder.
