Block Island Cod & SeaBass – Viking Star
Capt Dave G reports a good trip today aboard the Viking Star. We started the day in rough windy conditions left over from the nor’easter. The first couple spots we tried were very slow with few bites. We kept moving around and our patience was rewarded! The last two spots we fished were very productive, and we ended the day with a nice catch of sea bass, cod, a few porgies and a couple pollock. The pool winner was Michael Bento from Northport, NY with a 5.3 lb SeaBass. There were also 5 cod more than 10 lbs each that weren’t in the pool!
