Viking Locals Cod/Sea Bass/Haddock Report
Capt Steven Sr reports a picky day on the Viking Star. We started off catching a few Cod, Sea Bass, Scup, Ling, Whiting, Cunners, and even a Blackfish in the morning. We grinded away throughout the day seeing more of the same everywhere we went. The last drop of the day saw more of the same also, as well as a pick of Haddock. We ended up with close to 20 keeper Haddock for the trip, a small mess of Cod, and lots of other stuff to fill filet bags with a couple of dinners worth for everyone. The crew still ended up cutting fish for 3 hours on the way home so all in all it was a decent trip. Jimmy Nigro from Montauk, NY took the pool with a 14 lb Cod.

**Schedule update: We are now going to be sailing on our Cod/Sea Bass trips at 4AM instead of 5AM to be able to get out to the grounds a little earlier!
We are also adding a special Offshore Wreck Trip for Cod/Sea Bass this coming Wednesday 12/12. We will be departing at 2AM, and returning at 3PM. We are starting to see the Sea Bass move out of the inshore grounds, and we know exactly where to find them on our offshore wrecks so you don’t want to miss this trip! The fare is $140 on the Viking Star and the trip is limited to 45 pass.
