Montauk Jumbo Spring Porgies
Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing. We started off the morning fishing close where fishing was slow so we took the ride and fishing was very good. We saw nicer sized fish today and had plenty of Porgies. We did have a good catch of Sea Robins also mixed in on some drifts. As usual we had Sea Bass which were released unharmed as we wait for the season to open in New York. Completing our catch today were 3 Weakfish and some smaller Striped Bass which were also released. Randy Ryan of Wheatley Heights NY was today’s pool winner with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. Captain Dave expects that this recent good weather will improve fishing locally.
