Sun June 2 – Abyss LTD

Capt. Steven reports another fantastic trip, with nice weather, and great fishing. On day one we caught tile, pollack, hake cusk, and poorbeagle shark. It was a great day all around. We heard reports of cod and haddock were slow so we decided to stay in the deeper water for day 2. Day 2 was a little slower but we found barrel fish mixed in with tiles and pollack, not as many Hake. On day 3 Nantucket fluke, there was a slow pick all day. The temp. was in the low 50’s could have used the warmth from the sun. The pool winners are Ronald Hausch from Manhasset, NY with a first place fluke weighing in at 9.25 lbĀ  and the first place tile weighing in at 33 lbs. The first place Cod went to Mike Xenakis from Middletown, NJ weighing in at 8lbs. The first place barrel caught by Bruce Brandow from midland Park, NJ weighing in at 24lbs. We want to thank everyone on board for making the trip so enjoyable. Big thanks to capt. Steven. An honorable mention goes out to Ron Hausch who hand cranked on his first tile trip and took two pools.
