Wed July 24 Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass

Captain Steven D reports from the Viking Starship. What a great day to be on the water and fishing. We started out with a little drizzle and then the skies cleared, the humidity lowered and the visibility was outstanding. We fished near the Montauk Lighthouse all day. A lot of quality Jumbo Porgies came aboard and everyone got their limit fairly quickly. Most people also limited on Knothead Sea Bass and the rods were bending continuously. Some nice Fluke were mixed in. A great trip; our customers went home with stuffed coolers. The pool winners were Au Young of Brooklyn NY with a 3.2 pound Scup and second place went to Pete Seabrook of Kings Park NY with a 4.7 pound Fluke.
