Mon Aug 19 -Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass

Captain Dave reports another excellent day fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We left the Montauk Harbor shrouded in fog and made our way towards the Montauk Lighthouse. From the very first drift we had excellent Porgy fishing with a mix of medium to large Porgies. after loading up on Porgies we took a little ride to the East where in one drift, our anglers managed to take their limit in quality large Sea Bass up to 5 pounds. There were some good sized Porgies mixed in as well. No keeper Fluke or exotics today. The pool winner was Angel Rodriguez from Brooklyn NY with a 3.11 pound Scup.
