Sun Oct 6 -Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass

Captain Dave reports an excellent day fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We took the ride out to Block Island in the dark.  We got there before dawn and then barely had to move the entire day.  With the wind against the tide the Viking Starship  made long lazy drifts that lasted hours with rods bending continuously. A reset of a couple hundred yards and we were on the fish again.  Everyone limited out on mixed sized Porgies -mediums to Jumbos.  Plenty of nice quality Sea Bass too. First place in the pool went to Kim Tsang of Chinatown, NY with a 2.9 pound Scup.  Second place went to Javier Moreno of Queens NY with a 4.6 pound Sea Bass.
