Saturday Oct 19 – Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Viking Star

Capt Steven Sr. reports a great start to today’s trip , catching an 18lb Cod on the first drift. We continued to have a really good shot of fish, catching some nice Cod and Sea Bass on every drift. Then the dogfish showed up and continued to be a real pain on every drift for the rest of the trip. Every time we moved the dogfish showed up again making for difficult conditions. The Cod pool was won by Sam Braithwaite of Cambria Heights NY with a 10lb Cod, (the 18 pounder was not in the pool ). Jason Vitacco of Roselle NJ won had a beautiful 5lb Sea Bass to win the edible pool. Capt Steven is  sailing tomorrow at 4am and there are a limited number of spots available. The office opens at 3am for check in so come on down.
