Wed Sept 16 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing in the early part of the day, we stayed close to the island and fishing was good.  We had plenty of Sea Bass and Porgies, a lot of little ones in the mix but we had plenty of keepers too. We headed offshore later in the day and found plenty of bigger fish, mostly Porgies but pretty much every angler had their limit on both Sea Bass and Porgies today. The pool was won by Anthony Parent of New York City witn a 3.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool was caught by Ray Jorge of the Bronx who landed himself a 5lb Trigger fish. We are sailing daily at 5am on our Block Island Jumbo Porgy and Sea Bass Trips. Reservations are a MUST. Please call  631 668 5700 or log onto vikingfleet.com to book your spot.
