Wed Nov 25- Block Island SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod

Captain JR reports that We had a good trip today on the Viking Star. The morning black fishing was good for a couple hours then the bite slowed down. We ventured offshore and found giant knot head Sea Bass in abundant numbers. We also had some really nice green cod in the mix. Some the biggest ones we’ve seen so far this year. Today’s Blackfish pool was won by Tyler Morris of NYC who caught himself an 8lb Blackfish. Gianni Giogini of Babylon NY was the winner of the Sea Bass pool with a 4 pounder. The Codfish pool was taken by John Lajda who landed a 21 pound Cod. Honorable mention goes to 17 year old Steve Moeck who at 17 years old caught the largest Cod of his fishing career when he landed a nice 15 pounder.
