Wed May 19 – 2 Day Tile/Cod – Viking Fivestar

Capt Steven Jr reports after a long winter and spring of maintenance we finally got back out on our first offshore trip of 2021. We had excellent fishing in the deep on day one and a slow second day on the cod wrecks. On the first day we tried fishing a new area and found a load of big Tiles up to 38lbs with a couple Barrelfish popping up as well. Later in the day we jumped around and had steady action with Tiles and saw a mix of Grey Tiles, Hake, Pollock and a few more Barrelfish. By the end of the day everyone had a nice load of deep water bottom dwellers. Day two we fished the Cod wrecks on George’s and only found a handful of Cod on each wreck with a bunch of huge Cunners. Luckily the great day we had in the deep made up for the second slower day of fishing and everyone went home with a load of fillets.
