Thurs July 15 – 3/4 Day Bottom Fishing Special

Capt Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Starlite 3/4 Day Bottom Fishing Special. We started the trip in dense fog with a very slow drift and picked at a few fish. Then the drift picked up and we saw a big improvement. The Sea Bass were hungry, and the boat caught its limit. The Fluke were a bit picky all morning, with a lot of bites and a lot of action, but not as many large ones as we wanted. Still, we ended up with a nice catch of keepers, with some guys catching their limit. All in all it was a good day. The first place pool winner was Robert Mamys from Levittown, NY with a 6.3 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Jason Rudy-Messiano from Easton, PA with a 3.7 lb SeaBass. Honorable Mention goes to Bill Bennett who easily limited out on Fluke!
