Mon Aug 30 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. We started out anchored at a rock pile because of slack water. It was a nice mix of SeaBass with Porgies mixed in. Once the tide started moving we had perfect conditions drifting. We had mostly medium to large Porgies and SeaBass 4 inches to 4 pounds. There were also some keeper Fluke and about 1/2 dozen Triggerfish. Benny N from Queens, NY won the pool with a 2 lb Porgy.
