Sun Sept 5 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We had tougher conditions today with the wind, so we drifted to the east between the lighthouse and Block Island. It was a slow steady pick of nicer size Porgies and plenty of SeaBass. We did have to pick through smaller sized Porgies to get to the bigger ones. There was also had a nice catch of Fluke and about a 1/2 dozen Cod. The first place pool winner was Rafael Ramirez from Manhattan, NY with a 2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Glenn Arguedo from Beltville, MD with a 5.2 Fluke.
