Wed Dec 1 – Blackfish/SeaBass/Cod

Capt JR reports a great trip on the Viking Star. The morning Blackfish bite was solid for those who are familiar with the fishery. There were many anglers that easily had their limit. We had quality fish on every drop we made in Tog land. When we ventured offshore to the Sea Bass grounds it was lock and load with giant Knothead SeaBass all around the boat. One stop shopping and everyone had their limit. We also picked several nice Cod to sweeten the day’s catch. Michael Jung from Freeport, NY won the Blackfish pool with an 8.7 pounder. Steve Bento from Franklin Square, NY won the SeaBass pool with a 4.4 pounder.
