Sun June 5 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave reports red hot fishing on the Viking Starlite. It was a good day of steady Porgy fishing with one drop for the whole day, never having to move. There was a mixed pick of larges and some medium sized scup, which looked like a whole new body of fish. There were a few Fluke caught, but no keepers. Overall, great fishing today, limited out and got to head in early. The first place pool winner went to Eulalio Santamaria from White Plains, NY with a 2lb 11oz Porgy and the second place pool winner went to Marshall Blake from Englewood, New Jersey with a 2lb 5oz Porgy. Tomorrows Montauk Spring Porgies (Monday, June 6th) is cancelled, but we are still scheduled to sail for Tuesday.
