Fri July 1 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Star. It was excellent fishing at the lighthouse to start the day with the conditions just right. We had Large and Jumbo Porgies, some Bluefish and Striped Bass. We went offshore to find the SeaBass and they were mostly on the smaller side having to pick through them to find the keepers. There were also some keeper Fluke out there. We hit the lighthouse on the way back to the dock, but there was a fast drift so it wasn’t as good as the early morning. The pool winner was Robert Moore from Rahway, NJ with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy.
