Wed July 13 – Full Moon Striped Bass

Capt Carl reports a very good night for our Full Moooooon Striped Bass Extravaganza! We started off with the diamond jigs but the fish were not interested in them, so we very quickly changed over to the Live Eel rigs and it was Game On! Drift after drift produced some upper slot keeper size Bass, as well as many over the slot size which were released safely. We had great action for most of the night with multiple hooks ups and landings every drift right up until the drift started to slow down. We also had some Gorilla Blues in the mix. All in all it was a great night of fishing in Montauk! Joseph Manfredi from New Hyde Park, NY took the pool with his fat 34.5 inch 18 pound Striped Bass. Nice job!
We will be sailing for Striped Bass again in August for another Full Moon Special!
