Sun July 17 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was red hot by the Lighthouse, limited out pretty quickly with mostly large sized Porgies. After a couple hours, they made their way out east out into the deeper water to target the SeaBass. Had a range of sizes from small to large for the SeaBass and seemed as if most anglers had their limit of SeaBass as well. Overall great day of fishing. The first place pool winner went to Carl Englewood from Patterson, NJ with a 2.5 lb Porgy. The second place pool winner went to Steve Brown from Westchester, NY with a 4lb SeaBass. We will not be sailing tomorrow for the 5AM Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass (Monday July 18th.)
