Back to Viking Fleet Fishing Reports

Sun July 24 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Steven Sr. reports a more difficult afternoon of fishing today on the Viking Star. We had a battle with the breeze and a battle with the Shearwaters. We still managed to pick away at some Fluke, SeaBass and Porgies. We had a handful of good size Fluke on the boat and plenty of Porgies. We struggled with the birds, as they were constantly diving on the bait making it hard for us to fish. The first place pool winner went to Vincent Baldi from Middle Island, NY with a 7.2 lb Fluke and an honorable mention goes out to Granny Flukes with a 3.8 and a 3.5 lb Fluke. We will not be sailing tomorrow for the 8am portion of half day fishing. a person standing in front of a building with a stuffed animal a man holding a fish in the water
