Sat July 30 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a fantastic day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. For the first hour and a half we had lock and load large Porgies coming over the rail. Porgy fishing doesn’t get much better than we had today. When the tide started to run hard we tried for the SeaBass, but they were off the bite today, but everyone managed a few. The first place pool winner was Milton Cardenas from Upper Darby, PA with a 2.6 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Jose Jimenez from New Jersey with a 3 1/2 lb SeaBass.
