Sat Aug 20 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a great trip on the Viking Starship. Fishing was very good early at the lighthouse. We had good conditions and the first drift was an hour long. There were mostly medium Porgies with some larges mixed in. On the Sea Bass grounds there were a lot of small fish again with some keepers mixed in and some nice sized Porgies. There were also a few Fluke and some Trigger fish. The first place pool winner was Jang Choi from NYC with a 2 1/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Willie from the Bronx with a 6 lb Fluke.
