Sun Sept 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a difficult day of fishing today on the Viking Starship due to the strong tide from last nights full moon. We managed to get a decent pick of Porgies and and some nice size SeaBass but had to pick our way through a lot of little ones. We did have two Striped Bass on the boat, but they were over slot limit so we had to through them back. There were  also a handful of keeper Fluke on the boat. The first place pool winner went to Philip Alberto from Queens, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy. Tomorrow starts our first day of Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead SeaBass. This is a 10 hour trip, leaving at the 5am and returning at 3pm. Reservations can be made online at the
