Sat Sept 24 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a tougher day on the Viking Starship. We had to hide from the weather to start the day, so we were up close to Block Island and the fishing was pretty slow. As the weather improved we worked our way off shore and found a good mix of Porgies and Sea Bass. Everything was mixed size from big to little. The first place pool winner was Ignacio Castillo from Queens, NY with a 3 1/2 lb Jumbo Porgy. The edible pool winner was Maximo Santos from Flushing, Queens, NY with an 11 lb Striped Bass.
