Sat Oct 8 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a slow day on the Viking Starship. We encountered a lot of tide with the full moon and dirty water left over from the blow, so it was a slow pick of smaller Porgies and Sea Bass with a handful of good ones thrown in. There were also plenty of mackerel and a few Cod. The dogfish were not so bad today. The first place pool winner was Wayne Brathwaite from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Frank Haroo from Brooklyn, NY with a 9 1/2 lb Cod.
