Capt JR reports another excellent trip onboard the Viking Star. We started poking around in the deep and found a few scattered Yellow Fin Tuna. Around sunset, far from the fleet of boats, we found a giant mass of Yellow Fin Tuna. Jigs, bait, ANYTHING had rods bent over the rail from bow to stern. It was pandemonium for HOURS with tuna of all sizes flying over the rail. The fast and furious fishing had EVERYONE easily boating their limit of Yellow Fin Tuna.

After quickly getting our limit we steamed off to look for a few Swordfish. We had a few runoffs throughout the night and boated a couple Swords before wrapping up the stellar trip and heading home.

We had a tie for our Yellow Fin Tuna pool winners between Steve Scanapico from Medford, NY and Michael Pagnotta from Port Ewen, NY both with 65 lb Yellow Fins.
