Tue Oct 25 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies& Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Star. We started fishing inshore at Block Island and found mostly smaller Porgies. We worked our way offshore and had an excellent Sea Bass bite everywhere we tried with some really nice sized ones. At the end of the day we found a pile of Porgies in the deeper water that ranged from big to little. We also had about 1/2 dozen Cod and a couple of Bluefish. The first place pool winner was Noel Henson from New York, NY with a Jumbo 3.3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Rolando Dabalos from Baltimore, Maryland with a 7 lb Bluefish. We are definitely sailing tomorrow on the Viking Star at 5am. Come on out! The office opens at 4am for ticket sales.
