Wed May 31 – Full Moon Slob Tile Special

Capt Steven Sr reports overall a good trip on the Viking Starship. Day 1 had Mother Nature against us! It was wind against tide all day. There was no drift with confused seas. The boat was all over the place making fishing very tough. We picked away at them and managed a decent slot of fish. Day 2 had a much better start. We had mixed size Tile all day. In the last four hours we came across the “Mother Load”. There were big Tile fish biting with double headers coming up. Most were in the 15 to 20lb range with 15 over 20lbs. It was a very good finish. The first place Tile pool winner was Mike McGregor. Out of his four Tile his largest was 29lbs. The second place Tile pool winner was Robert Hindenlang with a 27 1/2 lber. The edible pool winner was Mickey from Super Hawk with a 65lb Tuna.
