Tues July 4 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports an action filled day of fishing today on the Viking Starlite. We had a great start to the morning anchored just south of the Lighthouse, we had plenty of big Porgies coming up and some Blue fish in the mix. When the tide started running we headed offshore in hunt of the Seabass. We saw mix of throwbacks and keepers in the SeaBass grounds with a few medium sized Porgies. When the the tide let up, we headed back around the Lighthouse to finish off the day with another little burst of both Seabass and Porgies and a couple keeper Fluke. The first place pool winner today was Aris Ventura from Manhattan, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. We will be sailing again tomorrow (Wednesday, July 5th) on our 5am Montauk Lighthouse Porgies & SeaBass. a person holding a fish on a boat in a body of water a man holding a fish in the water a man holding a fish in the water Melvin Tan et al. standing next to a body of water a man holding a fish on a boat in a body of water
