Wed July 5 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports great fishing today on the Viking Starlite. We anchored up this morning off the Lighthouse where we saw most of our action for the day. We had a great pick of large and jumbo Porgies for a solid hour and half of quality fishing. Eventually the Blue fish came in heavy, we managed to boat a few but were pushed out of there by the,. We worked our way offshore in search of SeaBass and saw a lot of little ones, but ultimately everyone seemed to get their limit. After loading up we worked our way back around the Lighthouse to get a final hit and found another little pile of Porgies to finish off the day. We did not do a pool on the boat today. We are sailing again on the Starlite tomorrow (Thursday, July 6th) on the our 5 am Montauk Lighthouse Porgies and SeaBass.
