Fri July 14 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a lively day of fishing today on the Viking Star. Conditions were not fishable around the point so we started our morning off down the beach in calm spot out of the tide. We had good action around there with medium to jumbo sized Porgies coming over the rail. We worked our way offshore to get into some SeaBass and it did not disappoint. Fishing was as good as it gets with a multitude of different fish between Porgies, SeaBass, Mackerell, and some Trigger fish. We saw all kinds of sizes from throwbacks to some nice sized keepers. The pool winner today went to Susan from Queens with a 2.7 lb Porgy. We are almost sold-out on tomorrow’s ( Saturday, July 15th) 5 am Montauk Porgies and SeaBass, so make sure call or book online to secure your spot.
