Sat July 15 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. It was fast, hot and heavy Porgy fishing to start out with mixed sizes and some Sea Bass mixed in. We hit an offshore wreck for Sea Bass where we found a handful along with some Porgies. On the way back in we stopped at the lighthouse and had a really good pick of Large and Jumbo Porgies that made the day. The first place pool winner was Hugo Mendez from Freeport, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Pedro Mendez with an 11 lb Bluefish.
