Sun July 30 – Full Day Block Island Fluke & Sea Bass
Capt J.R reports a more difficult day of fishing today on the Viking Starlite. Today’s Block Island Fluke and SeaBass trip was in a word, tough. We spent a majority of the trip searching our usual hotspots and finding very little…. There was a pretty significant ground swell in addition to some very windy conditions all morning. Whatever it was, it definitely turned the bite way off. We ended the trip finding some SeaBass and Fluke action, a few nice Fluke with some knot heads. But, after some late fishing we headed home to lick our wounds. The Fluke pool winner went to Tayfun Yaizici with a 6 lb Fluke. The SeaBass pool winner went to Sebastian Jasivkiewicz with a 3 1/2 lb SeaBass. We have more Block Island Fluke and SeaBass trips coming up on the following dates:
