Sun Aug 6 – Full Day Block Island Fluke & Sea Bass

Capt JR reports a productive day today onboard the Viking Starlite. We started at our usual haunts and found solid Sea Bass fishing with some keeper Fluke in the mix. We spent some time combing through that area and took a little ride to a newer zone and found even better Sea Bass fishing and more Fluke. There were a lot of short Fluke bending rods, but we definitely found a few more keepers. When it was all said and done we had an easy boat limit of Knothead Sea Bass and a pretty good catch of Fluke. A few guys onboard def had both their limit of fluke and sea bass. All in all a good day!! Jang Sung Choi from Flushing, NY was the Fluke pool winner with a 6 lber. Mike Ballard from Sag Harbor, NY won the Sea Bass pool with a 3 lber.
