Wed Aug 23 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a great day on the Viking Starship. We started south of the lighthouse and found plenty of big beautiful Porgies. It was all about quality and not quantity today! We also did a drop east of the lighthouse and had mixed size double header Porgies and some Mackerel in the mix. We got in one drift for Sea Bass about 1/2 way to Block Island. It was a bit slow since we didn’t have the tide. There were also some keeper Fluke. The pool winner was James Hom from Manhattan with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.
