Fri Sept 8 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a better day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. Although we did see an improvement today from yesterdays trip, fishing was still tough. We did see quiet a bit of action on board, but it was a lot of small fish and throwbacks, but did have some really nice in the mix. Not really any jumbo Porgies today, but a good amount of large. We did try for some SeaBass to the south of the point and had some lite action mixed with both Porgies and Seabass. The pool winner today went to Richard Wilkerson from the Bronx, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. We are definitely sailing again tomorrow (Saturday, September 9th) at 5am on our Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass.
