Sat Sept 9 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports okay fishing on the Viking Starship. It took awhile this morning for the Porgies to bite, but we then had a couple of good drifts by the lighthouse with nice size quality fish. We tried for Sea Bass at the end of the trip, but it wasn’t great. There were a lot of double headers, unfortunately most were small with few keepers. We also had Triggerfish, Fluke and Mackerel caught. The pool winner was Leonard Nagle from Queens with a 2 12/ lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Ramirez Vega from Westchester, NY with a 4 lb Triggerfish.
