Mon Oct 16 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a steady day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. Fishing today was lot better than it’s been, at no point was fishing red hot, but the bite was constant which made for a steady pick. We had some really nice quality fish today with a lot larger sizes than we have been seeing. We had mostly large size SeaBass with little to no small fish to pick through. The Porgies were also on the bigger size today with mostly large and jumbo size. We saw a good amount of Mackerell around as well and boated about half a dozen Cod fish. With a small crowd today we did not do a pool. Unfortunately, we will NOT be sailing tomorrow (Tuesday, October 17th) but we look forward to getting back out to Block Island at 5 am on Wednesday, October 18th!
