Sat Oct 28 – Block Island Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a great trip on the Viking Starship. We started out close to the island like yesterday, but the tide was screaming and caused a ton of tangles so we left there quickly and headed to deeper water. We got in three nice anchor drops. Everywhere we went the Porgies bit well and we had a decent amount of Sea Bass mixed in. There were also about a dozen Cod, some Bonita and Mackerel in the catch as well. With the large crowd we really made a day of it! The first place pool winner was Rayon Elliott from Bronx, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Florention Ateno from Brooklyn, NY with a 7 lb Cod. We are definitely sailing tomorrow at 5AM. The office will open at 4AM for check in and ticket sales.
