Fri Oct 3 – Night Squid Jigging

Capt Carl reports another VERY GOOD Squid report again tonight from the Viking Starlite. As soon as we anchored up, they were biting! It became LIGHTS OUT catching for the first half of the trip with Big Tubes flying in many double headers and even triple headers! Some anglers already had a full bucket and they were working on their second by 8:30! The Red Hot bite did not last the whole night though. It slowed down for a spell but once the moon began to rise, they started to bite again, just not as good as the first half of the night. Overall it was another great ink-filled night catching fresh Montauk squid. We have a few available for tonight, and more room for Sunday night.

After this coming Sunday nights trip, because of daylight savings time change, we will be sailing at 5:30PM and returning at Midnight. We look forward to seeing you Squid-a-Holics onboard.
