Sun Nov 5 – Block Island Jumbo Pogies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a very good day of fishing today on the Viking Superstar. We spent the day inshore for the most part, tucked in closer to the island, making plenty of drifts. We picked away pretty much all day and had a good pick of large size Porgies. SeaBass weren’t as nice in size as they have been, but everyone still had a few nice keepers. We managed to boat one keep Striped Bass today as well, overall very good day of fishing. The first prize pool winner went to Edward Flores from Manhattan with a 2.8 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Ming Young from Brooklyn with a 30 inch Striped Bass. We are sailing for our Block Island Porgies and SeaBass again tomorrow at 5am on the Viking Superstar, the ticket office will be open at 4am.
